hey girls! im back after a much needed break. need some help
so after my disappointment last time i was here, we had a break and are now back in the game. im not pregnant yet, but we are trying again. i have very irregular cycles so its not easy. any suggestions????? im using ovulation tests and softcups now.
Welcome back! I am irregular too with typically long cycles. I was ovulating anywhere from day 26 to day 40 so I went to the doctor and he suggested I try clomid which causes your ovulation to happen earlier each cycle if you have long ones. I tried it and the first cycle I ovulated on day 18 and got a BFP. For this BFP I tested with OPKs twice a day starting on the earliest possible day I could be nearing ovulation and checked for my EWCM religiously. I took the Guafensin Tussin cough syrup which made my CM a little more abundant so it was easy to tell when I had EWCM. Once I had EWCM, We BD'd everyday until I got a positive OPK and the two days after that. It was a lot of BDing, like 6 days straight, but it worked. Up until I got the EWCM we were doing it about every other night.
Do you have super long cycles that are irregular, or do they just vary in length? Did you have a MC? After my MMC in september my cycles were more irreg than ever. Good luck!
no never had a mc, and yeah i was thinkin about taking clomid, i just kinda wanted to try to get preg without anything. but it seems to have a good success rate. my cycles vary in length but most of the time they are super long like 60 days or more at times..
oh yeah I think its a good idea to try for a while before using anything! We tried 10 months and were doing everything we could, all the best practices. Of course 10 months for a person with long cycles isn't 10 cycles. More like 7 or 8. I thought you had a MC from the way you made your post sound with a disappointment last time?
