Ok - a large part of me is thinking this is due to my cervix being 'friable' or bleeds easily.. I remembered this from my first pregnancy. I didn't bleed This much... nor do I remember passing clots.
I called the Dr and they paged him and he called back. He said that a lot of things sound to be in my favor, i.e., that I had a good ultrasound on thursday, that I had a vaginal delivery and that this could be blood coming from my cervix. Unfortunately, my hospital of choice - the vaginal probe for ultrasounds is broken. (YOU'd think they had more than one!) that hospital has a special unit in triage/ER area just for maternity so you don't have to wait. My other option is to go to the other hospital - the normal ER - and wait possibly 5-6 hours or go to the Drs office in the morning.
Hon, I hope everything is okay. You probably should go to the other hospital RIGHT AWAY. A pregnant woman who is bleeding usually goes at the top of the triage list here. Often when they say it is a 5-6 hour wait, it is for people with common colds or non-complex migraines (from personal experience).
There's a bleed near the site of implantation - about .5 x .5 inches...
My hcg levels are still crappy - the were 2721 today - at over 6.5 weeks - only up 1000 from monday (the 9th)
The heart was beating away at 126, and everything else appeared normal. I just keep hearing the nurses words from 2 wks ago "If I had to bet, I'd say this wasn't a good pregnancy"
I just feel like the little guy (girl) is hanging on.. and I don't know what to feel anymore...
it's going to be a long 6 or so weeks - by then the odds will increase greatly that things will be ok.
I just wanted to let you know I had the exact same thing at six weeks.
I woke up one morning and I was bleeding clots and was convinced I was losing my baby.
I had a scan to show a little one still holding in there with HB.
I went back two weeks later for a reviewed ultrasound and the bleed had resolved itself - It was the best day of my life!!!
My LO is still holding in there and We are both doing fine.
Also a friend of mine had a bleed as well and the bleed grew and grew and in the end was bigger then the baby, she went to full term and gave birth naturally to beautiful healthy baby girl - Amy is now 6 months old. The clot followed with the placenta.
I saw it as a good thing as the clot/bleed happens when the placenta inplants so at least you know it has implanted
I know this was a long post. sorry
But I hope it helps.
Feel free to PM me with any questions
Also I had more than one bleed and had a brown loss for a few days after each bleed, once the bleed had resolved sex would cause bleeding up to about 14-15weeks so maybe try to avoid !!
its going to be ok...my best friend had the same thing passing huge clots, and bled for weeks and weeks, and she still had a healthy baby boy in the end. You can bleed quite a bit and everything still work out well.
