shocking pain in my lower abdomen?

Hi mommas!

so Ive had this cramping pain ever since I was 5 weeks till I was about 8 weeks. Then it kind of went away. And based on all the symptoms I presumed that was my uterus stretching or my right side forming ovarian cysts cause it was always on the right side.

Now this morning about 5 am this shocking pinch/pain under my belly button, in my lower abdomen woke me up. I jerked out of bed. Now it comes and goes every few hrs. Its not really that painful, its more concerning cause it feels like some is shocking me with electricity.
Could this be ligaments stretching pain as well? or is this something to be concerned about?

Btw trying to survive the worst cold ever!! Horrible stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing and a headache... cant sleep or breathe. This baby is taking over my immune system!
XOXO Angelica

Are you ok just now? Is it constant? I know a few times around 8-9 weeks i had some striking pains that woke me up, often enough it was streching pains and i was turning over in my sleep causing it. I was doubled it but it went away

Angelica I had feelings like that in my other pregnancies, but in my cervix. I don't know what causes it, but for me they were normal. My theory is that it's probably just more stretching setting off a nerve, but a call to your Dr couldn't hurt.

Yes Im ok right now. I just had a second wave of those shocking pains about 5 minutes before posting the thread. They only last about 5-10 seconds and then just go away.

If it was me, I would contact the early pregnancy unit, or whatever your equilivant is in the US, and seek their advice. If it feels really wrong then I'd get it checked out.

Does sound ok, but if you do feel somethings up, it might be worth giving your mw or doc a wee call in the morning.

PS I am choked up with the cold too, its not nice at all, i always manage to get them when i am pregnant!

Yeah I think im gonna call my nurse just in case. Cause thats just the thing, I cant really tell what its from, this morning I was constipated so I thought it was that and then this is my third day trying to survive a horrible cold and have been living off of cough drops and a humidifier. No bleeding what so ever is involved.
