Sounds about right hehe, my sense of smell and taste has gone totally mad! Everything tastes different, and not in a good way either! I'm not entirely sure why but I did hear of indigestion in the first tri too, I'm sure one of the ladies on here knows, they are sooo much better at explaining things than me!. Pregnancy has a lot of surprising symptoms, when I felt my first baby hiccup I didn't know what it was and thought something was wrong! Got loads of stories like that. You get these most intense and odd symptoms in the first tri, it's driving me mad lol x

I think your symptoms are all TOTALLY pregnant! I have similar symptoms.. It's like, oh my gosh... that food is making my stomach turn - 2 seconds later, there's a craving for cake!! Who knows.. About the heartburn... I have that also. I think it is the same acids in your stomach that are making you feel sick! Just wait till later when the baby is pushing everything (intestines etc) up and the heartburn becomes unbearable. My last child was born almost 16 years ago. I don't remember much about it - but I won't forget the heartburn! LOL... it is completely safe to nibble fruit flavored TUMS or the off brand.

Best to you! Congrats!!

Pretty typical symptoms Heartburn is caused by hormones that relax the sphincter at the top of the stomach, letting the acid leak back into the esophagus. Ask your Dr or other experienced moms in the UK what they have over the counter that is safe. I'm in the US so I don't know the brands.

some foods taste weird to me too... i couldnt even touch the salad or pork chop on my plate tonight and the spaghetti last night tasted super sweet to me when my family said it tasted normal. i think it just goes with being pregnant and having all these heightened senses.

My sense on taste and smell are really whacked out. I cant stand the smell/taste of things I used to love. I hate that I can smell every little thing.
