Fake Tan and Hair Dye (oh boy!)

okii so firstly can you fake tan when you are pregnant?!
i am soooooo going crazy thinking bout this!

and more importantly can you dye your hair!?!?!? lol!
my roots are RIDICULOUS!! i am just embarrassd by the buggers!
i bout somw HerbaShine - Garnier hair dye - its amonia free and is only on he hair for 10 mins. i did ring garnier help line and they said they would reccomend i use that one anyway - but they advised me to ring my doc (i wouldnt care i was meant to ask my doc when i was ther this afternoon!!! baby brain) so i called my doc and she was in surgery so i left a message for her to call me back.

i feel stuuupid asking this question but i just need to dye my hair so much - i was planning on waiting til i was 12 weeks - thats 2weeks 2days away!!!! seems longgg!!

x

Fake tan is fine, just remember your skin can be more sensitive when preggas so if you get any rashes then stop.

I dyed my hair all the time I was pregnant and was fine, I found that my scalp would itch a little more than usual when it was on but it was fine, again it will make your scalp more sensitive so just keep an eye on it

You can use fake tan but you need to test it first as the pH level in your skin changes and it can make a tan that you have previosuly been ok with go orange. As for hair dye it is not recommended for the 12 weeks but only if the chemicals touch the sclap. I spoke to both my midwife and GP about this when I had my son and they both said it should be fine, but if I was worried to have my hightlights done using the cap method instead of using foils.

I've died my hair twice... there s no way I could let my grey roots get any bigger they were epic and very embarrassing! Saying that... I did leave it for as long as I could.

I don't use fake tan so I can't help there... I'm a typical white English rose

funny I had exactly the same question about hair dye - I did mine last night without even thinking then got worried afterwards....on searching the net there doesn't seem to be any risk as even if you absorb some of the toxins it is only a tiny amount.

In saying that, if you can possibly hold off or use a natural one then I would - I will probably keep a tiny worry about doing this until my baby is born healthy!

I dyed my hair early pregnancy and everything is fine. my only issue was the color didnt come out right sooo .. haha i dont think im going to dye my hair again. I dyed a chestnt brown and it turned pitch black with blue hints. haha so the PH thing is deffinitely right!!

Fake tans. ive never been able to use they always look streaky and smell strange but I would say if i did they would probably go the wrong color!!
