im a poet and i dont know it.
seriously though im day 3 with the flu, never been so ill, i also have hypremesis, (someone upstairs has it in for me). Firstly will it harm baby, secondly any tips to move it along faster. im meants to be off to paris on sat, for 2nd wedding anniversary, but i cant even stand up at the moment! im drinking lots of fluid and im on anti sick meds for morning sickness. im 11+1 today. advice please. forgot to say i have the most sore throat and can barely swallow so food itsnt going down and when it does my gag reflex throws it back up before it gets to my throat! Help.
I just got over the flu I too have hyperemsis so I wasnt sure if it was the flu or if it was just a severe case of hypermesis but i went into the doctors and he said the only thing thye get concerned about having the flu is if you cant keep fluids down and become dehydrated because that will stress the baby out. I have a doppler so i just monitor babes heartbeat anytime im feeling really down and that way i know when babe is being stressed out and not. Also if you have a fever above 100 they get a bit concerned as it means your body is overheating!
For a fever tylenol is safe to take mother risk has said. So i just take a tylenol for a fever and drink alot of electrolytes when I cant keep anything down!
my temp was 100.4 but itsnt that high today 98.9. so i guess thats a good thing and maybe im coming out the other side. there was no doubting this was flu, i have never ached so much in my life, felt like id been beaten up by the mitchell brothers. Glad you got through it ok.
Don't worry, baby should be just fine I was running a high fever, vomitted that one morning with an oncoming flu. Called my doctor's 24-hour hotline to ask if Panadol Cold and Flu (Paracetamol) was ok. He told me nothing to panic about and Panadol was fine. I took 1 tablet, it helped tremendously. I was fine the next day, no signs of fever or flu.
Make sure you get a good rest and sleep all day and night so you can recover fast. Drink lots of water to keep hydrated.
me too sevenladybugs im just thankful i have time to get over it. I feel like i have been thrown a lot this pregnancy, luckily have an amazing husband who holds the fort, just always feel like im letting my other 2 LO down. my sons fav phrase is 'mum do you need to lie down again'- he is only 4!. Its really getting to me.
