advice needed after 12 week scan please

Hi everyone,
I had my 12 week scan 2 day and was dated at 12+6. All was good, good strong heartbeat etc.
Ive got home after doin a bit of shopping and have started to have a bright red bleed. Doesnt seem too much at the moment but im gonna keep an eye for an hour and see what happens.

Any one have any idea what may have caused this or what i should do?
It was noted on an earlier scan that i do have a cyst on my left ovary. could this have been pressed on during the scan and made it bleed?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated, have gone from a massive high to quite a low in the space of 4 hours!

I would call your midwife hun. I had a similar thing during my first pregnancy after my 1st scan, I also had a cyst but the midwife told me it couldn't be that, didn't really explain why tho. The midwife will tell you what to do, mine checked for the heartbeat with a doppler as they wouldn't scan me again within a week of having a scan. She couldn't find the heartbeat so I had to go back a few days later, the cheeky monkey was hiding! Hope you are ok xx

I would agree - any bleeding should be checked out.

Also, are you Rh-?? You may need an anti-D injection if you are and it needs to be done within 72 hours of a bleed.

Hope you and bubs are ok x

i would call your mw, any bleed should be checked out, sometimes blood filled sacs develop on the uterus and bleed, or some women have small bleeds round about the time there period would have been due x
