Peanut butter and runny eggs :s

Well before I knew I was pregnant I was on a high protien diet which consisted of meat meat meat, veg, fruit and stuff like that, and I was partial to a stick of celery with peanut butter in it. I would have been around 3 weeks at this point while I was munching peanut butter and poached runny eggs... do you think im safe lol?

I miss my runny eggs SO BAD!

xxx

It's fine to eat peanuts while you're pregnant. The Department of Health says that there is no evidence that eating or not eating peanuts while you're pregnant affects your baby's chances of developing a peanut allergy.

Despite this advice, you may still feel reluctant to eat peanuts, and that's understandable. Talk to your GP or midwife if you have a family history of allergies and are worried about the effect eating peanuts will have on your baby. It's also worth remembering that, as long as you're eating a healthy balanced diet, excluding peanuts from your diet will not do you or your baby any harm.

Peanuts are fine and i have eaten them without issue. Eating runny eggs puts you at risk of catching salmonella. Its up to you but being pregnant means that its not just about you really. Personally, i wouldnt continue to eat them just incase but having said that there are plenty of people that dont alter their food and are just fine. I ate parmesan with all of mine and now the rules say not to eat it as its unpasteurised!!! and yet its conficting as it says you can eat it as its a hard cheese!!!

I realised i would have been about 3 weeks pregnant and i was consuming castello cheese which is like brie but its got the looks and the taste of blue cheese! also was eating runny eggs and pate! oops! until you know you have your bfp you can't really start beating yourself up about it. I've steered clear of them all since i got a positive pregnancy test and its been SO hard!!

hold off on the runny eggs (i miss them too!)... Nuts are fine as long as the dr. says ok. If you have food allergies in the family I would talk to an allergist. Especially if you have other kiddos that have a nut or peanut allergy.

peanut butter is fine i eat it
unless you have an allergy to it which you havent if you wanting it! and eat it normally

however runny eggs - hmmm not to sure as i have read you are only meant to have them hard boiled.
so i only eat them well cooked and hard boiled.

check with your midwife to be on the safe side

I still have runny eggs, and peanut butter. Mmmmmmmmm

I'm not cutting all the foods that people claim can be bad for you. My doctor said, no drinking, no smoking, no raw fish, and no soft cheeses. Everything else in moderation!
