HcG levels at 2??

Hi all, ttc#3 missed period lots of pregnancy signs had a blood test yesterday hcg levels are at 2 at the moment. I have really low hormoan levels and I dont not get a bfp with my son until i was 9 weeks gone.

Has anyone else gone for a few blood test to check there hcg levels i have been told to go back in three weeks time and see if that figure has increased if i still am not on my period.

Im confused I know it is a negative as its under 5 but thought if I wasnt pregnant it would be a 0? Can anyone shed any light i have no idea about hcg levels.

Many thanks Kasey

some women do carry more than 0 hcg in their system at all times
however, from a few negative blood tests, I know I usually only carry 0.1 so if I went in and they were a 2, I'd be suspect to something going on
I think it depends tho
give it a week and try an hpt at home frer would be the best
if it doubles at least every 3 days, it might be high enough for the frer to pick up
Best of Luck!

Hi, i dont know too much about this but didnt want to read and run. All i do know for definate is all women have a hcg hormal level of upto 5 all the time, pregnant or not, and sometimes it can be higher during the menapouse (spelling??) But that isnt to say that your levels are not pregnancy related at all, i really dont know but fingers crossed for ya hunny xxx

a 2 is not a sign of pregnancy unfortunately.
If your periods are late all the time, there is a chance you may not be ovulating, or you might not be timing sex right because you're ovulating late.

There are lots of things you can do to see if you are. The easiest and most accurate seems to be to chart your BBT (basal body temperature). I had an anovulatory cycle and it was such a relief to not go crazy hoping I was pregnant since I knew there was no chance. Then I had a long cycle one time and knew my period wasn't really late yet etc...
So it can be a huge help. You'd start on your next cycle, lots of girls on the TTC boards can help.
It may seem like its a lot of work or obessing... but I found it to be such a relief compared to being in limbo and not knowing if you ovulated, when, if you're pregnant or not even a chance etc etc...
