I have been craving spicy food aswell! I dont think is dangerous, I havent read anywhere that it is. Maybe the burning is just heartburn? Some people get that after eating spicy foods and heartburn is more common in pregnancy anyway, Ive been getting it loads already!
x

I couldn't handle spicy foods from around 20 weeks, I could always eat a madras then when I got to this point I could just about eat a tikka masala... As far as I know spicy foods are no problem I ate them and Mille is a very happy bundle of joy x

Nothing wrong with nice spicy food. You might get a bit of heartburn if you aren't used to it but it's perfectly safe, after all a great deal of cultures around the world eat only spicy food! I had a bowl of hot spicy noodle soup every day during my pregnancy. Spices are good for your health and giving in to a bit of craving is great for your sanity! Hah

I checked this with my doctor when I was expecting our first baby, seeing as I had a constant graving for curry. He said it's totally fine, the baby won't mind it, it's just that it's reeeally likely to get heartburn. And I did. Every time. Taught me nothing

I hope it's not a problem!

I'm about 9 weeks & have been craving spicy food (Thai, Mexican, Indian) since day one. I loved spice before I was pregnant & it has only gotten worse (or better) since my BFP. Even through 24/7 nausea (& heartburn) I still want crazy hot food.

Spicy foods are fine, it will just most likely be uncomfortable for you.
