I had this same thing at almost 7 weeks... had a scan done and everything was just fine... I understand your worry, I have had previous miscarriages in the past and I worry about everything. I am sure everything will be fine now. Good Luck!!!!

Thank you Caseyann, its comforting knowing that it's happened to people before and all turned out OK.

Congrats Miss_BB - I commented on your other past, the picture was fab!

I've rang the EPAU and left a message (again) - they only seem to deal with people via voicemail. My OH thinks tomorrow would be best as then it's only one more sleep...not two lol but I'm so nervous it is unreal! If all is OK tomorrow or Thursday (whenever we end up going) we are booking in for a private scan in two weeks time, as then it'll only be two weeks after that roughly until the dating scan! Then we can finally start planning to tell people!!!

When are you guys telling people (if you havent done so already?) - anyone using the great news as Christmas presents?

xx

Thanks Lynsay xx

Get a good nights sleep if you can - have you been told to go with a full bladder?

I made the mistake of not going to the toilet after 5:15pm - nightmare by 7pm I was in pain because it was so full - even the doctor said next time it doesn't need to be that full - swings and roundabouts as previous he said it wasn't full enough - I think their scanner is naff!

Fingers Crossed for you xxx

yeah, I went for a scan a week last thurs and I was bursting!! They keep you waiting for ages though don't they!

My Appointment for was 9:30am and I was fit to burst by 8:30 lol...I didnt actually get seen until around 10:30 and the Sonographer was amazed at how full and big my bladder was! She had to do an internal in the end (due to a funny shaped uterus) so I got to pee earlier lol...even after going she noticed it filling up again right after...She said I have good kidneys

I'm still waiting for someone to call me back, and I'm just praying that the appointment is first thing in the morning. This time I'm only going to start drinking water 20 minutes before the appointment, and I'm going to take a bottle of water with me to sip in the car on the way!

I hope my uterus has shifted and moved into a normal position - I dont want anymore scares like last time! xx

Hi Lynsay,

Just wanted to give you an update. I posted earlier in the thread, I had some golden brown discharge on Sunday, one day before my scheduled Ob/gyn appointment.

I went yesterday to see me Dr. and told her about it & how I was very concerned. She told me it's very common. She scanned me and I got to see the baby and heartbeat :-)
At my last scan (when I was 5 weeks) all that was visible was the gestational sac.

I hope today goes quickly for you so you can get your scan done and see all is fine.
*hugs*

Brilliant news!! Congratulations!!

I rang the EPAU back as they still didnt get back to me (despite me leaving a message) I spoke to the nicest lady there who dealt with me in my previous pregnancy. She really put my mind at ease and said it's totally normal and she's not overlly concerned. She wants to stick to Thursdays appointment, as the wednesday one is at 6.30pm and she wont be around to see me (bless her) so Thursday it is!!

Wish me luck ladies! xxx

Thanks Hun!

I think it's great that you were able to speak with that lady who you also dealt with during your last pregnancy. She sounds lovely, like she really cares and wants to be there for you, that's wonderful :-) I'm glad she was able to ease your mind. I wish all medical professionals were like that. I feel lucky to have found a lovely Dr. I have read quite a few things were women were not treated with sensitivity and that makes me so sad.

Thursday will be here before you know it.
Sending you lots of good vibes!!
*hugs*
