Do you always get cramping with a miscarriage

I have been bleeding for 4 days on and off, started brown then stopped and now reddish but my stomach does not hurt really my lower back in a little sore. Im going for an internal hopefully tomorrow or the next day, will this procedure 100% confirm that i have miscarried or that i havn't ? Going out of my head with worry, but pretty much resigned myself that m/c i happening, but don't know how long it takes.

Oh sweetie....so sorry you're going through this. I really hope everything is ok tomorrow.

I did have awful cramping when I suffered a mc, so I would try to take heart from the fact you have no significant pain.

I'll be honest with you; I had a miscarriage in March last year with no pain whatsoever until the actual passing of the tissues.

That being said, I am currently bleeding, quite heavily and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the baby. I have had three ultrasounds in the past three days comfirming this.

It's hard not to worry, but if you are having an internal, you will get the answers you need.

Thanks i really need honesty, i just don't understand how you are ment to feel at ease when some people say they started to bleed and had a m/c and others say that they are bleeding but the baby is fine, im soo confused im only 5 weeks+3 and its my first. Im glad an internal will give a better picture, i just don't want them to say they don't know, id just rather know.

I agree with te others it wasnt really painful until passing everything! Not sure about th internal, they will be able to see if your cervix is open or closed. closed should be a good sign!! Good luck xxx

I hope all is ok at our scan hun, keep hoping, unfortunately from my experience, you can have a missed miscarriage, no cramping, no bleeding, no pain, no signs, i lost mine at 7 weeks at the begining of the year and probably would not have known until 12 weeks as by 10 weeks there had been no sign and i had medical MC with nothing happen either. Most of the time the baby dies 1-2 weeks before anything happens and the body realises and starts toe shed the lining. Its to do with progestrone levels needing to drop to a level which triggers the MC.

Try not think the worst thought, i had bleeding 5.5-7weeks with this one and all was fine even though i thought it was all over on numerous occasions..... i am still on tender hucks

I know it is very confusing, and because of this the doctor told me today he understands my concern. He knows of my prior miscarriage, and the lack of pain surrounding it. They have in their files that I was merely spotting lightly, and when it happens again, it is scary.

But, I've seen the baby wriggling around on three different ultrasounds in the past three days. So... I am completely confused and dumbfounded by it all.

Try and take it easy until your scan. That's what they would tell you to do anyway.
