Smell of cooking food makes me feel sick!

Anyone else having this problem. I'm really struggling to stay in the kitchen when food is cooking which leads to some very burnt dinners. The smell of pretty much anything during the cooking stage is far too strong for me.

i am so with you on this, i have barely cooked anything in the last 6 weeks and rarely make it in to the kitchen let alone the fridge! Am lucky that my partner has been a saint and done pretty much eveything including the cooking in that time otherwise i dont know what i would have done!

To top it all off, I completely forgot we were supposed to have guests for dinner tonight for a pre christmas feast. Doh! What on earth am I going to do? The hubby is working late tonight and I doubt people want to feast on cheese and pickle sandwiches...

hehe! Would it be taboo to order food in?

We've had grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner quite a few times lately as I have no desire to cook meat (it doesn't make me nauseaus thankfully but the idea of it just makes me think of other options)

And I found out yesterday at a work luncheon that I can't stomach turkey (what a perfect time of year..) - I had a feeling that I wouldn't want to eat it, and sure enough I couldn't even chew a bite of it..

We have another turkey dinner tomorrow night, and then Christmas is at our house this year so I'm going to have to rely heavily on the Moms for help to cook and serve that turkey!

But I think hors d'ouvres or tapas would be a fun and different dinner if a full feast doesn't quite happen!
