I have had a cough pretty much the whole time i've been pregnant and when i get up first thing in the morning and cough i then start gagging and dry heaving, sometimes bile, sometimes just water, usually for about 10 mins solid and then i feel better. Is this my morning sickness?? i know its a stupid question but i've never had it with a normal cough before, just dont want to convince myself its morning sickness if its only related to a cough, if you know what i mean!!
I know if it wasnt first thing in the morning i'd be vomiting and its only because my stomach is empty that its only dry heaving!
That's exactly how my puking works- first I gag, then some coughing, then sometimes stuff comes out. I've found that deep breathing keeps me from the gag, if I do it as soon as I feel the impulse. No gag, no cough, no puke. Sometimes this works. Sometimes it doesn't.
Haha I thought I was just some weirdo but it happens me too! All the time its so annoying all the things I have read have said for me sickness should be easing for me, but NO! My mummy had sickness with me for 7 months and she was really ill, I'm hoping this doesn't happen for me!
thats the exact way my m/s works, nothing very productive, more like goin thru the motions of being sick without much end product! also happens when i brush my teeth, ive never been one of those people who can make themselves sick with a toothbrush but now it sets me off every day! getting thru a lot of toothpaste lol!!
Ugh, I have this too Coughing & gagging, almost feel like I'm going to choke, dry heaving, but I haven't actually been sick yet, not even just liquid. I'm getting it at all times of day. Concerned how I'm going to cope with this when I go back to work on Tuesday after the Christmas break, as there's no warning, it just comes out of nowhere, no time to run and hide in the loo.
