Doppler whooshing sound

I recently ordered a babysounds doppler and it arrived the other day. I'll be 10 weeks on sunday so i know its kinda early to be able to find the heartbeat but thought I'd have a go anyway.

I have located my heartbeat in my chest fine first to check the doppler was working and I've also located my heartbeat in the lower down near my pubic bone area slightly to the right side. I have to press quite hard but right next to my heartbeat I can hear a werid whooshing sound like wind or rustling its only in that particular area nowhere else so i dont think its interference. Could this be the placenta or is it just my vein or artery? I can't find the babys heartbeat as the only heartbeat down there is same rhythm as mine.

Bit confused by what im hearing and should i be worried?

It's blood flowing through the placenta - another lovely reassuring sound.

Do you mean a whooshing sound down in your pulse by the pubic bone? If so, i had this and I think its the blood rushing through the artery.

I found another whooshing straight down from my belly button about where my knickers come up to... This is the placenta and with abit of playing around I managed to find the heartbeat.

Try it when you have a very full bladder, it pushes the uterus up

Good luck hun and I hope you hear your lo's heartbeat today.... will sound like a galloping horse or a train

xxx

yep I agree that was what I first heard when I used my doppler when I was pregnant with my little girl :-) a few weeks later I heard her heartbeat as well. Heard my next little ones placenta and heartbeat today am so so happy even if i'd have just been able to hear placenta I would have been over the moon but your right when I saw your post I was going to write that it sounds like the wind blowing :-) x

i personally am not sure but i would say its not a very good indicator to find out if pregnant or not. i suggest testing and going from there.
