I had more bleeding last night but this time it was pink which freaked me out. I was just stating to relax a bit after having no spotting for over a week and almost reaching 8 weeks. Now I'm back to worrying again. The spotting last night was after straining a bit for a BM so hopefully that's what caused it. It seems to have stopped now.

On the positive side, the statistics from the poll are quite good. In total 21 with some kind of bleeding leading to healthy pregnancy, 9 with no bleeding and 7 miscarriages. Seems to be really pretty common.

Good luck ladies x x

Just wanted to add this, but that it's uplifting at all. I had no spotting whatsoever and still had a missed miscarriage - I know that's not very helpful, but it's very much possible. I also had full symptoms (except I'm a lot fatter this time - which I'm viewing as a good thing )

I has pinkish discharge for 2 days when i was about 9 weeks, its started friday evening so i decided to wait and see if it was still there in the morning, it was so phoned midwife got no answer so phoned the hospital who said they couldnt see me as i wasnt 16+ weeks which i thought was really bad. Midwife called back and said it can be normal but if i get any pains or it turns to red blood then up to the hospital. She also said it can be implantation bleeding. As you can see from my signature my pregnancy went well and i had a beautiful baby boy xx

I do hope it stays away for good now, as you can really do without this worry. When you spotted earlier, how long did it last for?

I am still spotting, brown with a bit of pink now. I think it is slightly more than yesterday. I have bad morning sickness still which I take as a good sign. Normal dull cramping at the moment which I always have as I have weak back and stomach muscles.

The only thing that bothers me is my cervix feels sore, but I have not bd so don't know what is causing that unless it is the effects of the thrush I had. I had a sore cervix when I mc in December so this is what worries me.

DH thinks I shouldn't compare the two events as each pregnancy is different, even with the same woman, and things could just be more tender as I mc recently anyway. He also thinks that this time we know I have cysts and fibroids so bleeding could be either of those things too and I didn't continue to have symptoms last time. I know what he is saying but I can't help worrying as any bleeding in pregnancy has never been good for me.

The statistics do look promising as to how common it seems to be, but somehow today it is not making me feel better.

I had on 2 different days brown discharge when I wiped but only once. Then I had slightly heavier brown discharge which was there every time I wiped for about 2 days then it stopped. Then, last night pink CM when I wiped but only once and then nothing.

Hope your spotting stops soon - keep me posted. x

I had brown spotting at 8 weeks, and further spotting at 13, 19 and 24 weeks. My daughter is now nearly 11 months old.

Bleeding and spotting is very common in the first tri. But chances are you wont get an accurate picture from this thread as people who have suffered bleeding and spotting are more likely to respond than those who haven't.

I keep getting that wet feeling that blood is flowing from me and rushing to the loo. Then I wipe and there is nothing. I only get it when I actually go to the toilet (i.e. using my muscles)

Celesse I agree, with what you say. I also think many women who have mc may not respond for fear of upsetting anyone who is spotting/bleeding. It does give some idea as to how many women have had harmless bleeding though, and it is nice to get positive stories too.

I had spotting once last week in week 7, and now twice in week 8. Each time it is dark brown and mixed in with cm. I usually see it after a BM. It is reassuring to see that many women have spotting and go on to have a healthy pregnancy.
