Hiya,

Knowing the nhs , I doubt they will unless your classed high risked, But its worth asking?
Or look into having a private one done....

I would talk to your midwife, and tell her your worries, have you had your checking in appointment? After my mc my midwife told me that in my next pregnancy if I have any worries then I can ask for a scan..

They won't usually scan unless you've had bleeding or severe pains, even then it depends on the doctor/nurse on the day i'm afraid xxx

hiya, I have spina bifida and they don't class that as high risk pregnancy, I say this as I have 2 pregnancy before and wasnt classed as high risk.....

I did get a early scan with this pregnancy as I had a sterilisation reversed and they have to make sure its not ectopic and was classed as high risk, everything was fine and little bean was in the right place place and now only classed a "normal" pregnancy.

I know just how you feel regarding the bad pain, I have had countless surgery on my back and spine and I always suffer with it...

it never hurts to ask. But its unlikely. They are normally so busy. They will only scan if you have bleeding.

My midwife last time booked me in for a scan at just after 9 weeks and that was my first pregnancy. No harm in asking the question, I do not want an early scan. Personally I would rather wait until 12 weeks as hardest thing last time was seeing heartbeat one day, thinking all was well and then no heat beat two days later.
