Sorry if TMI but my OH and i just discovered that my cervix feels a bit open and soft. It didnt feel like this a few days ago and its got me quite worried. Im 7+6. Anyone else had this and it been ok? So worried its the start of a mc
yes its my first. I have had to have an internal procedure done about 5 years ago so it never shut really tightly after that. That said, it wasnt this open last week. I had just had a bath, heard that can soften the cervix but im not sure-my mind is all over the place. God i am so worried. I havent had any pain or bleeding (yet?)
I honestly wouldn't worry too much. The reason I asked if it was your first is that 2nd, 3rd 4th etc will always be "slightly" dilated (so informed by my midwife) due to having been dilated fully at some point. However I don't think a slight opening necessarily means the worst. Perhaps phone your midwife tmrw and ask?
To be honest with you, Mine has always felt like its slightly open with a lip as such, apologies if TMI but it's never been brought up when I had a smear or when I had coil fitted years ago so I assume I'm 'normal'. xx
i have my booking appointment on tues so will bring it up then i think. I havent actually met my midwife yet so would feel odd ringing before tues. Im just going to keep my fingers crossed and hope its just because of the bath, and that it goes back to how it was before. Hopefully there wont be any pain or bleeding. Thanks so much for your replis, it means a lot x
