Subchroionic Hematoma

Has anybody else experienced anything as such?

ive apparently got a blood cot (hematoma ) somewhere under the baby near the placenta and im so worried that it will rupture. doc has advised complete bedrest and primolut progesterone injections once a week along with progesterone tablets 3x daily.

i am worried about placental abruption because of the clot. the baby is still growing and its HR is 169bpm, and its crl is 16.2, it has definitely grown, but im so worried,

does anybody have any insight on this?

Try talking to the ladies over here: http://www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy...atoma-118.html They are a wealth of knowledge and support and even just reading old posts will help you out. I had three periods of bleeds myself in week 5, 6 and 7. the first two were subchorionic hematomas and the third was a hemorrhagic cyst. It's really scary stuff but the support will deifnitely help you get through it mentally. Best wishes!

HI there! I had one of these that has finally cleared up by 22 weeks. I even had a placenta abruption but that has healed too.

I also encourage you to join the support group. Having a sch can be very stressful and scary but remember that most have happy endings. It's been very helpful for me to have other ladies to take this journey with.

I found out I had an SCH at about 9 weeks. I have another scan Monday to see if it has shrunk. So sorry you are going through this, I know it can be very scary. However most people see to have good outcomes.

Hi there, I was just diagnosed with a SCH today. This is my second big bleed and I am very scared. But we did an u/s and found a hb of 156, which is encouraging. The bleeding is very scary. I've been spotting since week 5 so I knew there was something wrong. I'm going to check out that support board as well.
