Cold Turkey....

I was told that I was not allowed to eat cold turkey meat...Is this TRUE???

I have been eating it these past couple of days because I have been craving it on my cheese sandwiches...Hope it is okay...I tried calling my Doctor but was not able to talk to her

Help!!!!!

i dont think we're supposed to eat any cold meats or deli meats because of the risk of bacteria, i doubt it will have done any damage though you'll be fine xx

cold deli meats contain a bacteria called listeria which can cause problems and birth defects. I am sure you have not eaten enough to do any harm but stop eating it now.

I'm surprised you hadn't heard that already or read it in your what to expect book.

yes you shouldn't be eating ham lol makes sandwiches really hard eh. if i have ham i have it with cheese & toast everything so its hot & cooked, then its safe xx

Yes, all prepackaged slices or shaved deli meats. Salami, turkey, ham, hot dogs, roast beef, etc.

Is there anything we CAN eat? Is this a new thing? Dont remember this in my last pregnancies, or the Caffiene thing!

we also cant have party sausages, sausage rolls, etc. unless they are hot. basically nothing at all with cold meat in it, always heat it well first xx
