To be honest i sleep which ever way i can! i usually sleep on my side, rarely on my tummy but when preg with Ewan sleep was a bit of a novelty so if i was comfy on my back i would lay on my back.
Mind you with the heart burn i was just about sleeping sat up anyway!!

Honestly I tried "only sleeping on the left side" when I was pregnant with Julian and I just ended up sleeping however I could. At one point it was not possible to sleep on my back even if I wanted to! I had such bad heartburn in third tri that I was constantly moving all around - horrible and the heartburn is starting again already

My doctor told me last time it's more important the bigger you get so she said near the end of 2nd tri beginning of 3rd tri because then you have so much weight in the belly it's important to be positioned properly..

I can only sleep on my back now I've tried sleeping on my side but it hurts (especially my right side, where my ache is) and I know I always fall asleep on my back. Oh well...

I've always found that you'll naturally sleep in the bast position as you go on. I normally sleep on my front but as soon as it starts to get uncomfortable i just couldn't sleep that way lol.
I think getting comfy and gettin some sleep one of the hardest things later on, totally not fair when you won't get any when bubba arrives either lol

Ohh, I have slept like that since i was a baby!! Its such a comfy position. I can see myself getting one of those wedges tho, or a body pillow - which OH wants so as he sleeps facing right and I sleep left we can just shift side and share it
