6weeks and having period like cramps????

Is it normal to have period like cramps, they are not bad but it almost feels asthough I am going to be getting my period? I cant remember from my first pregnancy if I had this, I am 6 weeks today....

Any help or advise Ladies??

It is normal, as long as it is not accompanied with bleeding. That's when you need to seek medical attention. But, if they get too strong, or your instinct tells you somethings wrong call your doctor/midwife.

Thank you... I did a bit of googling too and seen quite a lot of women experience this pain. Lets just hope I dont see any kind of spotting or bleeding :/

My friend said she had them for the first 3 months and from what i have read it's very normal unless you get spotting or they get really painful. I think we feel every twinge tenfold. Good luck

It's normal.

I asked this same question less than a week ago, and said at the time that if anyone else asked it, I'd know the correct response was that it's normal and nothing to worry about, but I needed other people to reassure me, lol.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

Great, Thanks ladies.. I know I freak out about every little twinge or uncomfortable feeling and tell myself it is not normal lol I think after having a M/C last year it has made me feel not so confident about the first tri..... well I have finally got a bit of morning sickness today (not bad but enough to notice it) and Im still having to go for an afternoon nap with DS everyday so I am happy whilst I am having some symptoms Gosh I wish next Friday would hurry up... I am going for a scan then (dating scan) it cant come soon enough...

Hi. I am seven weeks pregnant and I have the same period like cramps, but not strong. I was worried too, but now I feel better after reading this thread. Its normal though, so no worries.

I even went to the emergency room at 9 weeks b/c I had such bad cramps..it was just stretching pains. My DD was just making room in there for herself.
I know with this pregnancy I will be worried about pains again too though

I had these all the time early on. They have gone away now and i only get stabbing pains every once in a while. It's just all your ligaments moving up with your uterus.
