Sore Achy Hips?

Hello everyone...

This is my first tentative post in first trimester, I believe I am about 5 weeks based on my LMP but haven't seen my doctor yet.

Doing well so far for symptoms, nothing except slight tenderness in my boobs and feeling very tired.

Today my hips are bothering me though It's like a dull achy feeling right on the bones on both sides. I've not been overdoing it with the exercise so it's not that. Did a big shop today and they were really bothering me after being on my feet for an hour.

Anyone know if this is pregnancy related or am I just over-analyzing it?
Also, is it safe for me to put a hot water bottle on the ache to ease it?

thanks

Yes! it is absolutely normal, unfortunately it will get worse. Try to do lots of walking or swimming otherwise you will be suffering in late pregnancy.

I usually use Wicks (UK) it is like Vaseline with menthol flavour which is use for colds. It warms up skin.

At least husband has got something to do

I'm 9.5 weeks and my hips are killing me. I feel like I've been walking up and down stairs constantly.

I have the same aches, it radiates up my back a little bit too. I also have a really bad sciatica pain on my right side I know that isn't pregnancy related, but I'm wondering what can be done to help relieve that pain before it gets worse...

Thanks everyone, good to know I'm not alone. There's so many little things about pregnancy I never knew about!

Will definitely hit the pool this week then!

I am currently 5 weeks and my hips ache really bad!! Mine is mostly my left. I called my OB and he said that it was normal because your body is stretching and preparing for the baby!! So don't worry!!
