Heart flutters/palpitations at 5 weeks?

Hi Girls,

I hope someone can help or at least tell me its normal but got quite a fright last night. I had been soundly sleeping for around 3/4 hours and I was suddenly woken up with my heart beating faster, felt like it was fluttering/ palpitation type feeling. I tried to relax and get back to sleep but it was quite uncomfortable and continued sporadically for next hour or so. I was also feeling really warm.

At some point I fell asleep again and when I woke up this morning I felt fine. Was scary as it disturbed my sleep.

Is anyone else getting this type of flutter thing? I have had 2 miscarriages at 7 and 9 weeks and never experienced this before. I'm currently just about 5 weeks xxxx

p.s from what I have read it is normal but wanted to know if others are experiencing this?

I'm hoping its a good sign as I didnt have it b4 and m/c'd twice so I'm praying it means everything is going as it should this time

I read that it could be the increase in blood flowing through my body (extra blood our bodies are making) or the increase in hormones so if its progesterone like you say... i'm happy. Thank you for your reply xxx

Yes I'm also occasionally getting this, I think its normal though. I usually get it between 3-5 times daily, and usually lasts for about a minute or so.

I always get this, particularly after a big meal The worse part is you try not to panic and it only makes it beat faster

Not a lot you can do and I have been told its normal
