I got the recipe off the internet years ago, when we were vegetarians.
I'll link you to it.
It is the best homemade soup I've ever had.

I used to make homemade bread in my bread machine to go with it.
But today I was too lazy. We're just having store-bought french bread.

I cannot eat anything today.... I ate some fruit, yoghurt and plain veg, but it all makes me nauseous - my body craves carbs (rice, pasta, bread, crackers), which I actually skipped today, except for a small piece of chocolate. I vomited a few times, including during my visit to a grocery store (fortunately I found a restroom just in time!) and then, while at gym, I still noticed I put on weight way too much! I hope the scale was not right, because it does not make any sense... It really did not make my day!

I hope to eat more healthy starting next week, because the first few weeks (until now) have been a torture due to MS....

veg recipes

I am not sure if this recipe will be useful for anyone because it requires some special ingredients (dahl -- which is an indian lentil, you can use some other sort of lentil , and fresh curry leaves - they are so good it is difficult to find a substitute, but you can try curry powder).
My friend made it for me the other day, so I could eat some spinach and coconut, which are good for a baby (tons of nutrients: iron, vitamins etc..), while the lentil (dahl) is an excellent source of protein:

This can be eaten with plain basmati rice and some salad.

I had a hard time eating anything from 6 to 16 weeks because of MS. I remember one period where all I could eat was chicken chow mein from my local chinese. Not healthy at all but it was all I could keep down. Eat what you can, baby is so small right now that their nutritional needs is next to nothing x

My nutritionist told me babies are like parasites. Nature makes sure they get what they need at the cost of the mother! It would help us to eat healthy so we don't suffer nutritional deficiencies while making our babies.
I need to really take care of my eating habits as I am already pre diabetic, even though I am not over weight, and am at a high risk for gestational diabetes.I try to be careful but find myself giving into junk out of frustration many times. I had a small box of pringles day before yesterday because I was so hungry! It's hard finding healthy options every time I am super hungry at work!
