Oh, this dizziness and lightheadedness!

I'm 6 1/2 weeks, and for the past several days, I've had random bouts of almost mini dizzy spells. I feel suddenly weak and faint...it usually passes very quickly, but does still leave me feeling weak. It strikes any time of day, but definitely happens when I stand up.
I know blood flow and pressure changes when you're pregnant, but when I was at the ob's office it said it was almost a perfect 120/80 (I think 121/79 or something that close). What's weird is it pinched my arm and I tensed, so expected a high result. Is it possible even that my blood pressure has lowered as opposed to being raised, and that's what is causing the faint spells?
Am I alone or is this common in pregnancy? I feel like a drama queen so usually just suffer through it as opposed to saying anything or complaining.
Will it pass, hopefully along with the morn--I mean, all day sickness?

I am almost 6 weeks, and I have had bouts of dizziness and light headedness especially if I move to quickly. I also have felt overly tired if I exert myself too much and I literally need to stop. You aren't being a drama queen! I think (hope haha) it is natural to be concerned and worried. As for the blood pressure, I am pretty positive that it can change according to how much your fluid intake is or isn't/how much sodium your eating too. If your feeling light headed, take it easy and drink fluids.

Plenty of water, vitamins, resting, and a very small amount of sugar when feeling light-headed may help.

I'm wondering if getting enough exercise might reduce dizziness?

Morning,

I'm having this too - i'm 7 wks 5 days with twins.

It's worse in the morning, but generally hits when I stand up - everything goes a bit black and fuzzy, but only for a few seconds, then i just feel shaky. A couple of times I have felt shaky all day.

I spoke to my nurse yesterday and it's something to do with the fact our bodies are pumping much more blood around and when we stand up suddenly the blood doesn't quite get up that far in time and our blood sugar levels can be a bit out of whack.

I've been hungry all the time and have started having a little snack before I go to bed, some cereal with fruit or a piece of toast and it has lessened it in the morning a bit. Could be a coincidence, but maybe try it? I also take a massive glass of water to bed so I can glug on that too.

Good luck!
Liz x
