I think it depends on the kind of incision made for the implants. At least that's what I've read. But most resources say most can still breast feed with implants.

Yes, you can breastfeed, although it might be difficult if any nerves were cut. It doesn't matter if you are over/under the muscle. What matters is whether the nerves around your areola were damaged. Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait and see.

By the way, I have under the muscle, crease (inframammary) incision. I haven't lost sensation, but my surgeon said there was a slight chance that I would have difficulty breastfeeding.

i have implants and mine were done under the muscle and remember doctor saying back then that i would still be able to breastfeed. i believe that having the incision through the nipple and over hinders breastfeeding but not always disables it. i think ill have a problem breastfeeding with my left breast cause i have alot of pain with the nerves, might have a nerve being pushed by implant or something like that, but other wise i dont see why you wouldnt be able to. its not like they cut your nerves or anything like that.

I have implants on top of the muscle, I've lost a lot of feeling from my nipples but I managed to feed my son for 17 months with no problems at all.
