Is 7 weeks exactly too earlier...?

Is 7 weeks on the dot too early to go for a scan?....I would be hoping to see the yolk and sac etc but hopefully the heartbeat too. Has anyone else had one this early and been able to see the heartbeat etc....

Just my symptoms have calmed down, its my first and I am 38 years old...just want to make sure all is OK. I cannot wait til 12 weeks!!!

I'm going for my first scan on Thursday. I'll be six weeks and two days, fingers crossed.

Don't worry too much about symptoms. By general consensus, they seem to come and go.

Could you actually see the heartbeat that early?? Or are you going along for dating etc? The sonographer said best to leave until Monday for me.....which is 6 days away!!!

Not sure if I'll be able to hear a heartbeat or not.

I found out I was preggers at 11dpiui and was asked to do two more betas.

When they saw my hcg levels were rising, I was asked to return on the 21st.

I do have to say I'm outside the UK at the moment, and have gone privately for the whole thing. Not sure what's the routine non-privately.

I (really, really, really) hope to see my lil bean inside the yolk sac, measure as he/she should at this stage.

I had my scan at 7+3, but I was measuring 7+1. I saw the baby, heart beat and the little yolk sac. Here is a photo.

You should definitely be able to see the HB by 7 weeks, for sure. Many people can find it early in their 6th week. I saw my LO's HB at 6+2!

I had a scan at 6w1d and saw and heard the baby's heartbeat beautifully. The doc had to do an internal sonar because it was quite early but we saw the baby and the little fluttering heart The baby's hb was 140. All the best for your scan hun. I'm having my 12w scan next Friday and can't wait.

Thanks everyone....just gutted that I have to wait until after the weekend to find out that all is OK.

I have had very few symptoms and apart from the odd sign (a little nausea, sore BBs) I dont really feel pregnant yet....but I heard that was one of the main worries for women....not feeling pregnant

hi

i thought i should be 7 weeks yesterday for my scan but was 6+5 (picture attached). I also had one on thursday of last week (was offered one at hospital although private one was already booked) when I measured 6 weeks.

In both, we saw a heartbeat, so even if your dates are slightly wrong. you'll probably be able to see a heartbeat. they measured the fetal pole, sac and yolk sac at both so you'll definitely see something and come away with some information and reassurance!

good luck!
