Morning ladies - I could really do with some reassurance right now.
Last night I had a short nap and woke at about 8pm. I went to the bathroom and had some brown spotting on my underwear. I checked and I was spotting quite badly. I also had very mild cramps (so mild I wasn't sure if I was imagining them).
I rang the out of hours drs and they made me an appointment at the hospital with a GP. I went there last night and they have booked me in for a scan but it is not until Tuesday. He told me to rest, drink fluids and if it got worse (a pad in one hour) then I was to go to A&E.
This morning I am still spotting and it feels like the start of my spotting before my period. It is still light - mainly when I wipe with just a couple of spots on my underwear but it is definitely there and is heavier than tinged CM (which is what I had a 5 weeks). I have mild cramps (slightly heavier than last night) and am scared stiff.
Has anyone else had similar and their pregnancy continued. I really just need some words of encouragement right now.
Sorry you are going through this. If its brown, than its old blood which is positive and can be completely normal. You will know if its something to worry about. The bleeding would be bright red and the cramps are UNBEARABLE! I hope everything is alright, just drink plenty of fluids and try and relax until Tuesday.
I just went through the same thing this week (it started on Monday, ended around Thursday). I was petrified and went for a private early scan yesterday to check that everything ok. Everything was fine and the baby measured 7 weeks (which I am). I was told that it could have been implantation bleeding that took a while to make its way out. Its definitely good that its brown blood as that means its old. It really is an awful thing to go through but try relax and don't think of the worst xx
Sorry to hear your going through this. I had some brown discharge spotting on Thursday which seem to last a couple of hours- I was petrified and just cried!! I rang the GP and went to see her yesterday. She didn't seem too concerned and said it could just be due to hormonal changes or the embryo embedding deeper, which reassured me. Having read posts on here most people have been advised the same. I have been booked in for an early scan on Tuesday just to double check! Let me know how you get on for Tuesday.
Hey There Im in the same boat as you my dear, Ive had some implatation bleeding at the start of my pregnancy when my period would have been due and now I have brown bleeding all this week...I even went to the early pregnancy unit twice, the baby was fine on wednesday, its little heart beating away but im still bleeding, its so nerve wrecking, dont no whether im coming or going!!
Thanks both. It's good to know you are not alone, although I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Someone has just pointed out on my journal that our could be AF breakthrough. I thought it was too early for that as I'm only 7 weeks but she reminded me that I usually spot from 7dpo which would have been yesterday had I not been pregnant and I had ovulated at the same point in my cycle.
Hey chicken, I woke up yesterday morning and found brown blood in my knickers, was in the toilet and when i wiped too! Now its just when i wipe?? Midwife said about 8-12 weeks you can have an implantation bleed so its probably that! Still have it today and im also unsure if i have cramps...if i am they are so mild too! Unsure if i should call the midwife again as they reasurred me its nothing to worry about? Im still worring though Hope everyone else is doing ok?
p.s im about 8-9 weeks preggo
Struth- I am 6 weeks+1. I have read a few posts on here where it seems to be happening to people between 6-8 weeks and as long it isn't accompanied by bad cramping I think all is ok. Trying to keep my mind occupied until Tuesday and not think about it too much! Least you get to see the Nurses as well as a scan so can ask any other questions. They told me to set aside 2 hours but I guess that's in case they are running late! Xx
