Hi hun. Me and hubby tried for 2 years after the depo (TTC) but no luck, it wasnt untill near the end i worked out i wasnt actually ovulating (what can happen due to the depo). I took 3 months worth of the contraceptive pill and i became pregnant on the first cycle. Basically the depo stopped all ovulation, it took another drug to kick start it.
Id say if you want another child then deffinatly give yourself a 2 year head start
my last shot was in november. I am 7 weeks today. no period, never tested positive for ovulation. truely lucky. the longer you are on it, the harder i read to do the deed. some women fall pregnant while on it. Sadly the majority of women take 1-3 years after depo to fall pregnant. If you google be prepared to be scared. Depo is not good stuff. It made me cry. I am glad I found this forum. The women here are very supportive. Know that you will read alot of the negative. People post negative more then they would a positive story. So never lose faith and stay well informed on facts. there is life after depo.
