Trying to calm myself

I am so sorry for being so neurotic ladies, and you’re more than welcome to tell me to shut up, and relax whenever you feel. LOL

As you all know I have been freaking out about my beta numbers. Cause my doctor said 180 is pretty low for how far I “assumed” I was… but now that I am over analyzing things I’ve realized this…

My period for the last year almost has been pretty persistent. I usually start on the 5th-6th of each month. July I started on the 2nd – 3rd (it was 11pm – Midnightish) and that was really early for me. My period also lasted longer too. (It’s never more than 4 days and it didn’t end until the 8th-9th) so I am thinking when I went to the ER Thursday and to my OB Friday could I have possibly been only 3 weeks? That would explain nothing being on the ultrasound, and the low beta numbers which if I was 3 weeks would have been normal for where I was, right?

Lol, I am just trying to make sense of all this so I can stop freaking out. If what I think here is right then I am really only 4 weeks a 3 days now. FX!!!! I don’t mind moving backwards a little bit, as long as my bean is ok.

If your cycles were longer than 28 days, then I'd say that your are a little earlier than you thought.

I believe it also depends on when you implant as well. Some implant 6 days after ovulation...some 12 days after....and then anywhere in between, so you could be a few days off due to implantation as well. When is your next beta?

Its so hard when this early as not only do docs work ot by a 28 day cycle (which isn't even the average believe it or not) but they also assume u ovulate on time. So if u ov late then their maths does not work
if your cycle is different their math doesn't work etc.

If I went by doc dates I would be about 9 weeks 1 day now. But thankfuly I know I have 36 day cycles and when I ov so I KNOW I'm 8 weeks, something confirmed by a scan.

So I know its hard but try to stay calm as this happens to sooo many women. I assume uve got another levels test or scan coming up to shed some light? I hope so

Best of luck to you xxx

I go back tomorrow to have lab work done again. My Dr. said just to be on the safe side he is going to be watching me closely just to be sure everything is alright. He said we will probably do one more round of labs if my levels have doubled now to make sure they are continuing to double. If so he will schedule me for another scan in 2 weeks. So we can get a correct due date and see how far I actually am.

As long as your numbers are doubling, you should be fine. Did they test your progesterone as well? I would ask them for that number as well.

You want that number to be at least 10. Anything lower then that means you should be on progesterone suppliments because progesterone is needed to support the pregnancy until the placenta takes over around 10-12 weeks.

Ok, yes I will definitely ask my Dr. about that tomorrow. I would hope if it was low he’d have told me Friday. All he said Friday was that my beta levels were low, but he ruled out an ectopic because he didn’t see anything in my tubes, and he assumed that it was just a very early pregnancy. But he wants to be on the safe side.

Thanks so much for the insight girls!! i will be letting you know what happens tomorrow.
