Les Mills classes

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if any of you ladies do Les Mills classes and what you have done differently since you found out you are pregnant. I am newly pregnant and trying to figure out what to do.

I usually do attack twice a week and combat and step once or twice a week, I usually go anywhere from 4 to 6 days a week. I plan to make sure I don't go more than 4 times a week now.

I read on the Les Mills forum that it is fine to keep doing them but just do the low impact options. I did combat tonight and found it really hard to do the low impact and maybe got a bit carried away with the high impact stuff lol.

What are all you lovely ladies doing?

I used to teach body flow! If you go to lesmills.com each program has a pregnancy booklet that tells you how to modify. Our step teacher is pregho with her second child and is still teaching...in fact, she teaches pump too. I dont feel the need to modify too much, sometimes the jumping is too much so i will calm it down a bit.

Body flow is yoga and pilates with a little tai chi in there as a warm up. You go through a flow series from standind to down dog, up dog, etc. Then you work on leg strength, balance, hip opemers, abs, back. Its a really good workout unlike regular yoga that doesnt get you sweaty, but then you have 10 minutes of relaxation/meditation and when you leave you arent all wiped out. Try it and let me know what you think!
