How can you tell if you are dehydrated?

My lips are chapped / dry, have the normal horrible nausea and have been gagging all day since the vomiting this morning... I was able to keep down some noodles for lunch but no fluids... well... actually i have kept down a tiny bit of tea but that's it all day...

I'm worried because when I go to pee there is practically nothing coming out... when something does come out it is dark / orange-ish in color.

I feel awful, and I am such a baby for complaining so much. I have only vomited the one time today what is wrong with me???

Sounds like you're dehydrated to me. I have to drink LOTS of water with my job, and it's best when pee is more on the clear side....I think that means you have lots of water in ya. I'd try to drink more water.
Really cold water makes me feel good when I'm feeling kinda sick. With lots of ice... mmmmmmmm.......

Water makes me sick. Can't drink it at all, other than at night when I wake to go pee. I keep a bottle by the bed and can usually get a bottle in at night that way... but during the day my fluids are very limited b/c of the nausea and now vomiting...

What about adding some squash to the water, DM? perhaps that would help it go down. I can't drink plain water either but can guzzle loads of squash (always the sugar free stuff).

If you can't face water then any liquids will do.

That sounds just like me. I am struggling to drink anything as it's making me feel sick . Was dry heaving this morning - after bringing up stomach acid . Not nice. I am trying so hard to take in fluids , but everything makes me feel ill
