I sleep on my stomach. Sometimes on purpose because I missed it so much last time when my bump was too big! You'll reach a point where you can't sleep on your belly because of your bump and that's when my doctor last time said to stop.
I asked my doc this on Thursday. He said it is absolutely fine to sleep lying on your front for as long as you are able to. No danger to baby.
My only worry is that I find it hard to sleep in any other position, so I'll probably be awake for the last few months of my PG!!
I slept on my stomach until well into second tri. Your body will tell you when you can no longer sleep on your stomach--it will get very uncomfy. Right now baby is so tiny there is no way you are going to squish him/her by laying on your tummy.
I've already found it a bit uncomfortable at times...i think because of the gas and pains down there..? I'm totally a tummy sleeper and was petrified I'd never sleep while pregnant...but so far when i've been to sore to sleep on my belly I've had no troubles falling asleep on my side as I'm so ridiculously exhausted now that I'm pregnant...it's great!
You're right! Woman can lie on their stomach while pregnant. I was in physical therapy and my husband and I, invented a product that allows pregnant woman to lie on their stomach safely and comfortably. We named it after our daughter The Sophie come see us at My Mommy Love.
