threatened mc, cervix closed, no scan til monday any advice?

Hi ladies

Please can anybody advise. I am 12 +2 Today started bleeding quite heavy and red, no pains as such (don't know if I actually have pains or im imagining pains as they only started after doc asked me about them)

He examined me, my cervix is closed and the bleeding went from red to brown discharge. Sent me home saying it was a threatened mc come back Monday for scan.

I am so upset this is my first pg and im scared. Monday is too far away. I need words of encouragement right now ladies.

Thanks Mrs HP x

Didn't want to R&R. I'm really not sure, but I've definitely seen a lot of ladies who have bleeding and everything turns out ok. So you just need to hope for the best and keep us updated.

Hi
I had something very similar when I was 11.5 weeks. Turns out it was a subchorionic hematoma and they are fairly common. After my big bleed I have just been spotting brown with some slight period pains. I have had 3 scans since this incident (one was the usual 12 week scan and the 3rd was because I demanded one lol) and baby is absolutely fine
Have you already had a scan? Just try and relax till Monday, keep your feet up and dont do any lifting.
Im sure you little one is quite happy and oblivious to what is going on around him/her

Once you get to 12 weeks it is much more likely to be ok than it is to be a miscarriage.

Have you had your scan yet?

Fingers crossed it is good news for you.

Hope you are ok, Im sure you will be. Sometimes it makes me cross that doctors are so matter of fact about things. I know they need to tell you what it could be, but they should also give you other possibilities! and the fact that you have to wait all weekend is just awful for you....you must be going crazy with worry, I know I would! FXed for you and hope all is ok xxxxx
