I get chronic bladder infections (have a funny shaped bladder, and wen I pee, only half my urine comes out... Had a flow test that showed this)

When I get them, the only thing that sooths me is a warm bath. No bubbles, or scented products in the bath, jut warm water. If you had bacterial infection (bacterial vaginosis), you wouldn't be able to take a bath, As it could disrupt the ph of your vagina.

Also, this is my first pregnancy, so I don't know much about pregnancy and anti biotics.

But putting pregnancy aside, I stopped taking antibiotics for my bladder infections ( as I was getting then so often I was afraid all the antibiotics were hurting my immune system).. I started taking one tape spoon I "cream of tarter" , mixed it with water and drank it.

This cured my water infection everytime. I'm not sure if I would mess around with this during pregnancy though, I would probably stick to doctors orders for now.. Lol.

Hope this helps!

I just asked the doctor as was getting my latest urine results back and they said there is no issue whatsoever taking a bath providing you dont use bubble bath.

I am on the antibiotics till Tuesday. I guess the infection is going away, I don't even notice it. I had no idea to begin with, so I don't know if it's gone!

I didn't take a bath yet. I usually take a shower every day and then in the afternoon/evenings I have been nauseous and tired and I just sit on the couch ;(

[QUOTE=Maviyildiz;13772739]Hmm, last time I had a bladder infection I was a kid and they actually told my parents not to let me take a bath. (I was at an age when I did not shower yet)

I used to have them chronically, I had the doc tell me as well not to take baths because the dirty/soapy water can seep into the tract and make it worse.

Baths are fine just dont use anything in the water. Only use it to soak and relax! No soap, shampoo, bubble bath any of that! When I had a UTI I would relax in the bath than get up and actually wash in the shower if that makes sense!

I still didn't get up the nerve to take a bath. LOL. I would love one tonight though. I am taking my last antibiotic pill tomorrow morning and hopefully won't feel so crappy anymore

Might take a nice warm bath tonight with no bubbles
