From what I've read and experienced, miscarriages progress quite quickly within a few days of the bleeding starting so if it doesn't get any heavier then hopefully that's also a good sign. Good luck and I hope the maternity unit are a bit more helpful to you x
Thank You

I will try them later on, hopefully they arent useless like everyone else!

The bleeding has also slowed down a lot now and looks like it has nearly finished, so fingers crossed!

I went back and all they done was book me an appointment for the EPU on wednesday to find out what is happening. Dont think they knew what they were talking about.

Any1 have any advice please?

what??? that is all they did???? when i miscarried i went to the er, had heavy bleeding at 6w4d and they did urine sample through catheter, blood tests, ultrasound and vaginal exam. then they told me my hcg levels are low and that i am miscarrying.
i did have a lot of clots and insane amount of blood.
good luck!

They are useless! I phoned another hospital last night and then said the doctors dont care and the only reason i have to go back is to see if i had miscarried and if they need to scrape anythink out!!

xx
I really, really hope they didn't say those exact words to you hun, how awful

I think doctors just dismiss early miscarriages, because they're early and thats so unfair. I thought, before i concieved, that i'd be 'ok' if i had an early mc because after what i've been through it would be nothing, right? Wrong, completely wrong, i would not be ok with it at all it petrifies me. Its not ok for doctors to just dismiss it like it doesn't matter, it deffinately does.

Glad to hear the bleeding has stopped, really hope it works out well for you xx

I had some bleeding at 6 weeks. I went to a minor injuries unit where I got referee to EPU, my appointment was 3 days later and everything was ok. If you have no pain then fingers crossed you still have a bean.

Hi,

I'm going through the exact same thing, my doctor at the urgent care unit was great though, tested me for a UTI which I have got so he has put me on anti's, he told me to call my gp to be referred for an early scan. How big were your clots? I had 2 both quite small, a lot smaller than a smartie for instance. My bleeding started this morning and has about gone. Hope everything goes well for us both.

Thank You I hope so, would have thought that they would have tryed to get me an earlier appointment as i will be worrying a lot now

Thats terrible, they sound so slack, you should have had a scan the minute you noticed a bit of spotting, well thats what my midwife told me anyway.
I hope you can have a scan really soon and remember a lot of times bleeding in early pregnancy is nothing to be concerned about and you can still go on to have a healthy baby

They were like little bouncy balls, not huge but not little, only had 2 though. Going to ring around other EPUs tomorrow and see what they can do.

Keep me updated on yourself
