where is your uterus?

im coming up for 12 weeks and I'm not joking I can feel my uterus half way up between my bikini line and belly button. should it be up this high at this stage?
I have my first scan on Thursday I can't wait. I def can't be any further along as I am.

At the start of your pregnancy it was tucked right under your binki line in your pelvis but the bigger baby gets the higher it will move up, right now baby is about near my belly button hth x

I've been told the more children you have the higher your uterus may be. I'm on my second pregnancy and my uterus is just now all the way out of the pubic bone area

How can you tell? I wouldnt know where my uterus was if it came up and slapped me in the face (or my cervix for that matter.) I read threads about cervix and uterus and have no clue where either of them are or how Im supposed to know?? (embarrassed). x

LOL Sunshine, that really made me chuckle, I have a real vivid imagination and all i could see was a uterus going out with a comedy hand and slapping you on the face lol!
Im about the same as you. I know what my cervix and uterus is, but wouldnt have a clue at pointing it out.....'Its about....there' (circling around my belly lol)

Sunshine, you're not alone, I have no idea where anything is and if I tried to find my cervix I'm sure it would end in embarrassment. I tried once, and gave up after 'digging' around for a few shameful minutes. My cramps are emanating between my pelvis and belly button, though it feels like it hasn't moved too much yet.

I've had a pressure feeling since before I found out, and its gradually moved higher up my stomach so I've always just assumed that its my uterus. It's uncomfortable to have any pressure up against it- jeans, my daughter sitting in my lap.. just uncomfortable!
