What vitamins are you taking?

Doctor has me taking my prenatal (Walmart Equate brand w/ 1000 mcg of folate), + 4 additional mg of folic acid, + 2000 units of Vitamin D. All in all, I take 7 pills.... seems like a lot!

I guess 1000 mcg of folic acid is okay for most people, but because I am overweight by about 50 lbs, I'm supposed to take more. I'm taking 5 mg total.

What are the rest of you taking?

I took 400mcg of folic acid for 12 weeks and nothing else. Now taking Pregnacare as Vit D is needed and Im low in iron.

The norm for folic acid isnt 1000mcg? Appreciate you need more than normal but Im sure the norm is 400.

I take 3 prenatals a day (staggered) and my daily dose has 600mg of folic acid.
http://amzn.com/B003DGZRNS <- the ones I take

I did some searching the day I got my BFP as I have gastritis and most vitamins tend to make my stomach hurt badly. I got a 96 ct bottle on sale price at GNC to make sure I'd be okay and I'm nearly done with it. I've ordered via the subscribe and save Amazon as it's about $20 cheaper than GNC

Good question!

Trader Joe's brand Prenatal w/800mg folic acid
Omega 3 capsule
DHA capsule w/600mg folic acid

Redundant, but I'm a big girl, and I don't want to short the baby! I've read repeatedly that there really isn't a toxic amount of folic acid or omega 3, so I'm not concerned.

Prenatal and DHA, each just one tablet a day

^ I like this brand. No side effects, no synthetic ingredients, 100% natural, and only need to take one/day.

So it seems like a lot of you are taking 400 mcg - 1000-ish mcg of folic acid.... they have me on 5000 mcg! I guess it's good to know that it's safe to take a huge amount!

P.S. Wanted to clear up the mcg/mg thing - I guess there are 1000 mcg in 1 mg..... so all together I am taking 5 mg of folic acid/5000 mcg.

just the folic acid and iodine since it is pushed over here.
I tried elevit but it gave me shocking stomach problems and ginger and vitamin b6 ended were thrown up lol so I am staying away from them, my body or the baby does not like them
