Restless legs??

Im 11 weeks pregnant and my legs are driving me crazy!! Hopefully u know what I mean by restless legs. A horrible achy feeling and you can't keep them still or in one position. It's do annoying I could scream! Anyone else have this and/or know anything that helps get rid of it?
Thanks x

Ugh, I totally know what you mean, I was actually diagnosed with RLS in 2003 (Here's the wiki link with more info).
It started getting much more noticeable days before my ....

As for what helps -
~ I've heard the banana thing too (but it's not helped me much either...)
~ Iron supplements (seems to really be helping me - it's in the prenatal vitamins I now take anyway)
~ Walking can ease it for a little bit
~ And the best of all - orgasms! I swear, it's really part of recommended treatment!

Hope this is at all helpful! And congrats on your bubs!

My OH gets this, he wriggles and kicks around every 5-15 seconds, it drives me mad!! Will iron supplements work on men? Funnily enough the only way to ensure he sleeps calmly is for him to orgasm and then he is out like a light and sooo still! Problem being he is on meds that inhibit orgasm so in trying to wear him out we can instead end up really winding him up but not being able to finish it off and then his restless legs are unbearable!!

omg yes thank god I am not alone here. At night, trying to sleep its impossible for the first couple of hours because of my legs, they just wont stay still and I cannot for the life of me keep them still, its horrible, its worse than being in pain

Thank you ladies! I will try iron as I'm usually low on that anyway. It does get unbearable doesn't it they say massage helps but I haven't found that to be the case. X

I posted this in another thread, but magnesium twice a day (250 mg) has been the difference between twitching all night and sleeping soundly. I'd tried iron, potassium (bananas), cutting out caffeine, all sorts of other stuff, and the magnesium really did the trick.
