Ashley, you have more of less said word for word what I said to my OH last night. It's really reassuring to know I'm not a freak of nature to feel this way. If you need somebody to talk to, you can message me on here anytime.

I'm going to buy a babygro in town today so everytime I feel detached I can hold it and imagine the baby in it. If that doesn't work I'm going to speak to my GP because I just feel so darn sad

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I feel much better knowing that I am not the only one feeling this way at times.

I do think it has a LOT to do with how crappy I've been feeling.... because today I actually feel a lot better than I have lately and I'm much more optimistic already. DH and I just spent an hour going over names we like!

The sickness just gets me down so much! I am a huge baby when it comes to being sick and even just feeling a little sick always makes me really grumpy and whiny....

It is refreshing to read your post. I hsve felt the same with this pregnancy and find it hard to admit. last time when i had my little girl i was excited from as soon as i got my BFP but I think this has been tainted by my miscarriage at 7 weeks in September.

I dont know if this is the reason or not but i was devastated by the miscarriage and am trying not to think about being pregnant which is very hard!

i just hope i start feeling a bond when i get to 12w scan and see everything is ok (fingers croseed) because what if i dont.? If i still dont feel right at 16w am going to discuss it with the midwife.

So for me its good to know other people are in the same boat.

Don't let it bother you too much.

I felt the EXACT same way with my first Pregnancy with Alexa. I actually remember making a post about it.

But as she got bigger and I could feel her, and once she was born! Oh my... She has forever changed my life and there is NOTHING that could ever replace her and the love I have for her! When your baby is in your arms, your life will change for the better. And everything that seemed to matter before baby, won't seem so important anymore. You will LOVE him or her more than anything and everything!

Now I have to figure out, how am I going to share this amount of love with Baby #2!?
Guess Alexa better make room and share!

I am very happy and excited for you. Your life is about to be AMAZING! Nothing is better than bringing your own children into the world.

And to think... I used to never want children!? How crazy was I thinking!?

Thanks LilDreamy.... that made me feel so much better! I am sick again today and feeling "down" again.... I did notice yesterday when I felt well that I was much more happy about things.... I really think it has to do with this horrible nausea and exhaustion.... can't wait for the 2nd trimester. I sure hope this is over soon!
