When / how do I get results of blood test?

The midwife didn't say! Had my first lot of bloods taken last week after booking in appointment, and I don't know what to do next, am I supposed to phone the Doctors, or do I get a letter, or wait until first clinic appointment?!

they will call you hun if there is anything to be concerned about can take anything upto 2 weeks to get them back :-)

If it's just your booking blood test then don't worry about it. No news is good news. They didn't tell me mine until my 16 week appointment because I didn't have any of the stuff they are testing for (carriers of some diseases, HIV, hepatitis etc).

At my surgery you have to call them after 11am 2 days after you have the bloods taken - call them now hun and see what they have to say! Esp if you had the bloods taken to check HCG levels xx

You will only hear anything if there are any problems hun. Here we get our paper copies of the results when we go for our scan xx

if they find anything they will call, all my results are now in my maternity notes that i was given at my 12 week scan

I didnt get any they just wrote them in my green book my 2nd midwife app, which i never knew only found out when i asked at my scan what my blood was!

I get mine at my 12 week scan but if there was any thing wrong i would of had a call with in 10 days.

I thought that might be the case, my scan is Tuesday 17th, I'll be a little over 13 weeks then (by LMP) first date I could get!
