I am 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant and last night I had to phone nhs24 as I woke up and went to the loo and had the most horrible pain ever when I wee-ed. I had suspected I might have had a UTI for a couple of days but had been drinking lots of water and cranberry juice in the hope it would get better by itself (it has done before when done this). But before I went to my bed I started having bad stomach pains in my lower abdomen and was a little sick which relieved the pressure (I haven't had any MS yet).

When I woke up, my stomach pain was terrible and I was certain I was miscarrying as I have had 2 mcs at 5 weeks back in July and September. I phoned nhs24 who sent me to out ouf hours clinic at local hospital which is across road, and they diagnosed a UTI and blood in the urine. They gave me anti-biotics to take for it over course of 5 days.

However, for the past few days since the UTI symptoms started, my pregnancy symptoms have disappeared, no tender boobs now (they were never very sore before, but were tender to touch but not anymore), no stretching sensation in my lower tummy, and I didn't have any vivid dreams last night like I have had every night for last few weeks. I am terrified the UTI has caused a mmc.

I asked the doctor last night if a UTI could affect a pregnancy and she said there is a chance it could. I am hoping that the fact I bled with my last 2 mcs is a sign that if anything was wrong it would be rejected and I would bleed. I am just so worried that all my symptoms have gone. I had been having awful cramping until last week and I had an early scan at 6 weeks and 3 days which showed everything as fine and there was a heartbeat. I don't want to phone them and be seen as an over-anxious pest but I don't know what to do.

Does anyone have any advice or are able to help using their own experience?

I dont have much to add as far as the UTI but i will say pregnancy symptoms come and go. I would poke my boobs to see if they hurt sometimes they did and sometimes they didnt. Many women have UTI's during pregnancy and go on to carry perfectly fine. I had a UTI at 4 weeks (no preg symptoms though) Im sure baby is doing great

I'm 19 weeks and so far have had 4 UTI's . The last one took 4 weeks to clear and 3 courses of antibiotics! I get awful, dragging, low down stomach and back ache, almost like period pains, which are obviously very scary when you are pregnant. Bubba has been completely unaffected though, he's absoloutely fine, but unfortunately i'm sure i will be in for a few more UTI's before he's born, the way things are going!! I'm sure your LO is fine too xxx
