Hey girls! How r u all doing? I'm soooo tired all the time! dont think gettin up to wee in the night helps things!! And I've been getting nausea... that's fun at school!!

Just had a call from the EPU cancelling my scan on Friday and re booking it for Monday! I got really emotional, I'm so paranoid it's another ectopic, Friday was the day I've been working towards... extending it by 2 days relaly feels like forever away again! My mind is already working overtime this is going to really do my head in!

Sorry, I must sound so spoilt... I know some of you are waiting too! Hope you are all well and happy! xxx

aw Jenbags thats rubbish!! Keep yourself busy at the weekend and it will go quickly.
I still haven't managed to get in touch with a midwife since last friday. Everytime I ring I get an answer phone, so officially I dont have a midwife yet! She hasn't responded to my answerphone message or my text or my million missed calls lol

Hi all!

I'm Kealey and I live in the West Midlands. I'm 8 weeks (and 3 days!), EDD 21st September. Married two years ago, winter wedding and this is our first! We have a 1 bedroom apartment so space is tight but it's up for sale atm so see what happens... could manage here if need be.

...I'm a teacher too! Primary, got year 5 but had year 2 last year. No one knows yet, not even family/friends, but so looking forward to telling everyone. Was hoping that 1st scan might fall in Easter holidays but after working it out, it won't. Not sure how I'm going to ask for the time or try swapping my PPA time..?

Anyway, so glad to be having a week off now (not that there isn't work to do, as I'm sure you can sympaphise with!) and nice to hear from some other 'local' ladies. Got midwife appt on friday so hopefully get the ball rolling towards a scan.

Hey ladies,
Happy half term!!!

I'm in a ski resort at the moment - obviously not skiing now so am passing the time on here. Also brought some assessments to mark! What a rock and roll holiday lol.

I got my scan date letter from the hospital on Friday, it's the 19th March, it seems a life time away. It's smack bang in the middle of the morning as well so not quite sure where I will tell people I am going. Might have to say Im on a course or something! Albeit a very short one lol. STILL NOT got hold of the midwife. My letter says I need a form (?) signed before my scan by the midwife so hopefully Ill get hold of her soon!

Hope you ladies are all ok. Poppy I also cannot believe we are at week 7! xx

pS: Hi, Kealey, hope you are well?!

Hey girls!! Thanks for your kind words!! Ski resort... nice!! Hi Kealey!!

I tried to keep busy this weekend, was hard as I was worried all weekend, I was so scared this morning I had the most terrible stomach and felt more sick than I have ever felt! BUT.... I had my scan and saw our little bean!!

I'd done some research of what to expect on the scan at 7 weeks and as soon as I saw it was in the right place I was relieved! I was also relieved it wasn't a transvaginal scan... but boy did she push hard to be able to see! We saw it's little heart beating away and my husband was asking all sorts of questions about what he could see and he didn't really get it until about 5 mins of her prodding around... by that time I was wishing she'd stop!!

We got a little picture... you can't see much... but its reassuring it's in there!! Bean measures 4.6mm which puts me a week behind where they orignially said I was, so now my due date is 8th October and I am repeating week 6 again rather that being in week 7.... I don't care!! I'm over the moon it is all in the right place!!

I'm still getting twinges/cramps and midwife said it's all really normal!! Uterus growing and ligaments relaxing! Are you still getting any oddness or any other symptoms?!

I hope the next weeks go so quickly for us all!! So we can share our 12 week pics!!!! x

Hey Suze! 19th March will be here before you know it! There is only 1 payday between now and then!! I know it's different in all areas, but my doc said that the midwife should make an appointment to see you for the first appointment, it should be within 2 weeks of the doc refering you and she will come to your house to fill in all the paperwork... did you get a massive pack from your docotor with a big folder full of questionnaires in etc.. and some sample jars?! If you are worried that you haven't actually heard from her, don't be scared to contact your doctor and ask them what you should do! They might give her a nudge for you!! This wating game is the worse isn't it!!
xxxxx

Thanks poppy... I've read so many places that spotting is really common and it's sounds positive that it's stopped. If Ur worried call your nearest epu/epau and they will see you almost straight away! I called on a Saturday morning and they booked me in at 830 the following morning, it's so hard not to worry isn't I'm still worried about poisons today and keep reading the report that says no evidence for reason for pain just stretching and it still doesn't make it better. U know where we r if u need us xx
