Got my doppler....Advice?

Ok so I got my doppler but have to leave for work so only had 10 minutes to play with it.. But alls I could hear is my heart beat. Im not too worried yet cause I havent spent a ton of time with is.. Do you think my tilted uterus could make it harder to hear? Do you ladies have any advice to find the heartbeat.. I know this had been asked tons of time but still... Thank you for any help

I have ordered an angel sounds one and read water is only good once baby is bigger but u can use oil or any gel. I posted a thread today with some great advice if u can find it. Someone added a video to help identify different sounds. She said your beat is detected closer to ur left hip due to an artery but if u go below ur belly button but above public line and move a bit either side of that a bit. The whoosh sound is your placenta and the faster heart beat is babies. Good luck x

Look at video in post 1, good luck! Start close to the hair line and below the belly button. Mine is about an inch off-centered to the left! http://www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy...ler-video.html

Full bladder and lots of gel! Oh, and just returned from my OB and she couldnt find my bb's hb because she was looking too low. I told her I had been finding it every other day in the same spot! Try low first, then work your way up. Once you find the placenta...baby is near

Oh thats wonderful! And good to know I dont have to spend a fortune on a gel.. Do you think my tilted uterus will affect the doppler? I sure hope not!

It can. I have a tilted uterus which is why my bladder has to be FULL before I try. It pushes the uterus up towards your tummy! GL
