Makeup hell no! But nail polish is cute.. but only once they get out of the "shoving hands and feet in their mouth" phase. But i also think its fun to put nail polish on my dogs!

There is a brand of nail polish specifically for babies it is made out of all natural non toxic stuff. They also make slightly tinted chap stick for babies. I think as long as its safe it's cute.

I'll put a little eyeshadow on my neices sometimes, but that's as far as I'll go. And only light light colors.

My 21 month old son has gone to nursery with blusher dabbed on his face before when he's been "helping" mummy put her make up on!

Make-up's not just for girls you know

cb1 - I hear you lol! I had to buy DD some makeup brushes (never used) so she'll leave mine alone, she walks around rubbing them on her face and hair and then she wants to do mine and Daddy's makeup too lol!! So cute, I think she really just likes the way they tickle her!

I don't wear make up and I still bite my nails and toes so nailpolish for me. Hence I probably won't be putting make up on my children. I do put nailpolish on DH's toes sometimes. He's got such nice feet, far nicer than mine. I don't think putting nailpolish on kids is a good idea. My thoughts are if I bite my nails and toes than monkey see monkey do right?

I put toe polish on DD during the summer when she was about 15 months. It was a real pain not to make a mess so I didnt do it again but it was cute when she wore sandals. However I would NEVER put makeup on a baby/child. there skin is so sensitive and perfect, why ruin it with makeup.

Blimey babies chew their toes as well as their hands! They really shouldn't have polished nails! Above the age of 2 sure if the girl is girly girl and its harmless stuff like a bit of nail polish or lip gloss but all in all there is plenty of time when they grow up to become obsessed with makeup and their looks I vote let babies be babies! I hope my views don't upset anyone I'm just really particular about makeup lol I don't even wear it myself unless its a special occasion. Can't beat being comfortable in your own face!

Make up??? Um..

Well I got some non toxic nail polish for my daughter but we haven't used it. I won't until she asks for her nails to be done or gets into my make up on her own for the first time (but I wear make up like twice a year so I think it'll be a while) I don't see any need to put make up on a 16 month old though, seeing as my daughter is 16 months in a few days and I would never do that. I might paint her toenails but honestly I'm not gonna trouble myself until she's old enough to want it.
