I was drinking loads of it at the start as I couldnt stand anything else - then had a slight blip (I'm sure because my taste buds were clamouring for taste) and started drinking decaf tea and orange juice - like you I couldnt stand water - lasted about a fortnight. Now though I am back on it as I get very thirsty at night and water tends to satisfy it.

I just told my DH this morning that I cannot stand the taste of our water anymore. This is horrible because we really should be staying hydrated. I am going to try using a filter or making it ice cold with some lemon. Otherwise I am thinking about trying some sports drinks but just don't know with the electrolytes.

I used to love water but now i hate the taste, unless it's loaded with lemons.

Me too - I can't even stand the filtered stuff out of our fridge. I can tolerate evian but I just hate the after taste.

I'm even finding squash/cordials difficult to drink.

And I'm so thirsty! I can quite happily eat ice cubes tho?!

Roll on second tri - I just pray the sickness/nausea and drink aversions will disappear and not continue in second and third tri. I really will be miserable!

I used to drink water from the britta water filter thing, and it my last pregnancy it just started to taste nasty so I switched to fruit squash, full sugar, which I'm sure contributed to my massive weight gain. This time around I started buying bottled water in hope that I could carry on drinking water instead of juice. My taste buds still seem funny though and I've been wanting orange juice and even worse, fanta.
I find adding a slice of lemon to my water helps it taste better.

It's weird because I'm thirsty all the time but the water doesn't seem to help, I drink it and I'm left with a nasty feeling in my mouth and still as thirsty as when I started!

Oh yeah, I randomly started craving watermelon a few weeks ago, and I found that a really good way to quench my thirst and it tasted delightful

I loooooove diet coke - and I have completely gone off this too! Probably a good thing really.

Thinking about my earlier post, still fanta from Mcdonalds is probably one of the only drinks I actually like drinking - with bucket loads of ice! Problem is, it's full of sugar and I just want it all the time lol!

Might try the watermelon tho. I had a strawberry and plum on Thursday (love them) and it came straight back up

I feel you i was never a water drinker to begin with so i have to force it down. ON TOP OF IT, water gives me bad heartburn (well actually everything does) which makes me not want to drink it even more! Hang in there!

Do you all have flavored water in the UK? We have it in the states and there are tons of varieties and many are zero calories. I have been drinking more water since I switched to the flavored. The lemons are also a great idea with a little sweetener is yummy.
