Low Implantation

I had a scan yesterday at 6 weeks and the doctor saw a gestational sac and yolk sac and said everything looked fine except for the baby looked a little low in the uterus. He said this could be just how it looked or the shape of my uterus or it could be a sign of miscarriage. I am not having any bleeding or symptoms but am now completely freaked out. Has anyone had this?

I haven't experienced this either but I think its a good sign that he said it looks fine except for being low. Some babies implant a bit low down and then as the uterus grows they 'move up' not moving in actuality but the position gets higher due to the uterus stretching. Hopefully, this is what is going on with you. Did they offer you another scan in a couple of weeks to check? I hate is when doctors give the worst case scenario like that when they aren't sure, it freaks people out!

When I went for my 7week scan the sono was all 'I can't see anything...no wait there is baby and HB but your sac is too big this worries me, you need to be scanned again in 2 weeks.' Luckily I knew I was spot on 6 weeks instead of the 7 weeks they thought I was because I ovulated late. I hate that they don't really like to take into account when a lady ovulates! 2 Weeks went by, and behold, there was baby at 8w5d growing perfectly. I swear its in their job description to worry us because if they didn't say the worse case scenario then a lady mc's they are scared of legal action.

I hope all turns out wonderfully for you, and please try not to worry yourself too much over this, stress doesn't help baby, something that some doctors need to remember!

Thank you so much ladies. I agree about then telling us stuff scaring us. I almost think that he was trying to protect himself but come on now do you not think I don't have every worry in the world already . I am still not having any symptoms or anything and haven't the whole time so I will just keep praying for a good outcome. They are doing another scan next Wednesday to see if they see the fetal pole and heartbeat and to make sure everything is progressing. After he told me he was like don't let it worry you. Yeah right! I will make sure to post the outcome next week.

Thx- BTW, You'll want to use the codes that start with [ url ] or something for your signature! The one you have on there doesn't show anything.
