Tips and baby game plan?

Congrats to all you ladies in your 1st trimester!

There are a lot of us still ttc, so I thought that maybe in this thread you ladies could tell us your ttc journey. . .
how long it took you to get a BFP,
how long you were on bc before,
how to tell if your ovulating,
and what your baby game plan was before receiving your BFP?

Congrats again and hopefully we will have many more BFP's this month and in 2012!

I used clearblue ovulation sticks as I had no 'signs of ovulation' (that were apparent to me, anyway! I have no 'signs of pregnancy' either!)

I found them really good as I knew there was a guarenteed 'chance' once I had seen that smiley face giving the go-ahead!

I tried for a looooong time but finally succubed to the slightly crazy looking post coital headstand!! Propped up by lots of pillows and then lying with hips raised quite high all night afterwards... its the only time i have ever conceived so i definitly think theres something in it

I charted - temp and cm which pin pointed ovulation. I also used ovulation tests to confirm what my temp was saying and did these twice daily, so I didn't miss my window! I used Fertility Friend which I loved! So easy to use.

We were ttc for 7 months for this baby.

I also brought a fertility bracelet and conceived on my first cycle of wearing it. I also put dh on male conception vitamins for the month we conceived (I was on the female ones) as we had tried all else and I like to think it worked!

I wasn't on any bc.

Good luck xx

So here comes a huge post

I was on the implant since I was about 12/13 until last December. Last November, I had extreme pains, heavy bleeding for a few days, I went to the hospital to find out I just miscarried a baby. It was a big shock to the system. A huge one. I got the implant removed and we decided to TTC. I got my implant removed on the 20th of December, got my first AF 26th of January and my BFP two weeks ago. It took us a month to conceive, although..

I have been taking pre natal vitamins since November.

I checked my CM everyday at the same time.

I checked my CP everyday at the same time.

I used saliva ovulation microscope and as soon as I started to see ferning, I used POAS OPKs, got a positive on the first one I took and I ovulated roughly 24 hours later.

My OH also took vitamins, the conception ones for him.

We BD'ed every other day throughout the cycle and as soon as I started getting watery CM, we BDed everyday, sometimes few times a day!

For my whole cycle I had a lot of garlic, sunflower seeds and tonnes of pomegrante juice - all which help with fertility.

I also drank 3 raspberry leaf teas a day with 2 teaspoons of honey in each one, one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one before I went to bed.

I had a LOT of grapefruit juice throughout my whole cycle.

After BDing, I kept everything inside for at least 30 minutes and usually went to sleep straight after - it was quite messy but worth it!

I always orgasmed after my OH was done due to the fact that the cervix dips into the pool of sperm during orgasm and helps sucking it up and making their journey easier!

I also took Agnus Castus until my first AF.

I took omega 3 everyday too!

Got my BFP at 9DPO 6 weeks tomorrow!

Good luck to all TTCers!

I never got any proper EWCM below my cervix, I always had to push CM out of my cervix to see what it was actually like!

It took me 16 months to get a bfp and I was on the pill for 6 years before ttc. I used opks every month to know when I was ovulating. I think what finally did it for us was that there was one kinda crazy night where I orgasmed a few times after my hubby did and I think that really drew in the to where they needed to go.

How long did it take you to ovulate after coming off bc? I was on since I was 16 and I am now 23, I was on bc for 7 years, my last pill was dec 17th and I am not absolutely sure I am actually ovulating. I am currently on CD17 of a 30 day cycle. AF is due on March 21st. I started taking OPK tests (clearblue smiley face ones) on CD12 and still no +. So I am so confused. I think if I don't conceive this month then we will try the SMEP next month. I'm "suppose" to be in my fertile week from March 5th to March 9th, we BD'd Monday and we will tonight and tomorrow night. I did notice that my CM is a little watery, but not stretchy or anything. I am taking prenatal vitamins, an extra folic acid pill, I'm using OPK (even though I havent got a positive yet) and I ordered some preseed, we may try that tonight. I was waiting on my +OPK but I'm not sure if its coming or if I could have missed it. I never knew ttc would be sooo much work. SO many people get pregnant so easily. A friend of mine is on the bc shot and her husband uses a condom too and she just found out she is pregenant! really?
I'm just impatient and ready for it to happen to me.
Thanks for all the tips ladies!

I was on birth control pills for 6 years. Then we tried for 6 months using opks. I think what worked for us was TONS of sex. As soon as we got the smiley face that last month we were very busy as often as possible. Morning, lunch breaks, after work, after dinner... ect.
By the end of the fertile period we needed a break LOL!
