Percentage of carrying a baby to term

Ok... we all know the percentages of the risks of bad things happening in the first trimester..

Is there a percentage of good?

I'd much rather deal with something like, there is an 80% chance I will carry this baby to full term and he or she will be happy and healthy rather than dwelling on a 20% chance of miscarriage.

So, does anyone know any POSITIVE percentages? I can't seem to find any!

Me too! Sometimes it's easy to focus on the negative aspects, so it would be lovely to see some good percentages...

Xxx

I've read a statistic that if u have an early scan, 6-8 weeks say, and see heartbeat the chance of carrying full term and delivering a healthy baby is 95%... That's that only positive statistic I found to now!! Will update on here if I find anymore!! H&H 9 months to u all x

Even of you don't make it full term your baby still has a really high % of survival.

A baby born at 26 weeks has an 80% chance of survival and this increases each week your pregnant.

One in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage, therefore you just reverse it to three in four do not. Which gives you a 75% chance of bringing a baby home once you are pregnant.

And as Jenbag says the chances increase greatly once the heartbeat is seen x

it's really a great idea to focus on the positive...i've been scaring myself like crazy over the fear of miscarriages...I saw a heartbeat at seven weeks, but I still am afraid of loosing our little one everyday...knowing that the chance is higher that things will be OK, than not ok, is very reassuring.

Funny fact:

Most mothers don't like to think about their baby boys getting erections, even when they are teenagers, but the fact is that many baby boys get boners while they're still in the womb. In fact, babies of both sexes are known to masturbate in utero, but boys are the only ones who can be caught while aroused on the sonogram.

If having sex while pregnant seemed a little creepy before now, just imagine what your baby is doing while you make love.
